GIN+SORBET IS HEAVEN IN A COCKTAIL: There's nothing in the world like a delicious and refreshing cocktail on a steamy summer day. I'm calling this one Doctor's Orders - it's just what she'd order for herself or her patients at the end of the day.
I used raspberry sorbet, but lemon, pineapple and especially lime are all magnificent. And if you're feeling sassy, add a splash of Champagne bubbles over the top to celebrate a summer win.
INGREDIENTS:
2 oz gin ¾ oz simple syrup (suggest fruit infused like raspberry, blackberry, lemon or peach) ¾ oz lime juice 1 scoop raspberry sorbet Optional: sparkling wine topper
Garnish: fresh or frozen raspberry, mint, and lemon zest
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients except sorbet in a shaking tin and fill with ice. Shake for 10-12 seconds and strain into a chilled coupe glass with a scoop of sorbet in it. Optional: top with sparkling rose wine.
