Concord Grapy Cosmo

While some are moving into pumpkin-spiced drinks, I’m trying to squeeze out the last days of summer. Grapes are in full swing, and I’m adding them to spirited concoctions.

If you’re fortunate enough to find some Concord grapes at a local farmers market, grab some to make this. You can also use the bottled juice, but the fresh juice has such a lovely round mouthfeel that’s unmatched. I simply remove the grapes from the stems, put them into a pot and simmer them gently, then strain.

1 1/2 ounces of Parson’s Grapy or dry London gin
1 ounce Cointreau
2 ounces Concord grape juice, no added sugar

Measure the gin, Cointreau, and juice into a cocktail shaker tin with ice and shake to chill.

Double-strain into a chilled martini glass.

Sip sensibly!
